Deputy Secretary of the Party Committee, Deputy Director (Acting Director), and Research Fellow of the Institute of Linguistics of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He is also a member of the Leading Group of Research Planning of the State Language Commission, President of the Chinese Ethnolinguistics Society, Vice President of the Chinese Language Society, Vice President of the Chinese National Ancient Writing Research Association, and Chairman of the Center for the Study of Chinese Ethnic Minority Languages of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
