HU Qinan was born in Beijing in 1975. She received her Ph.D. from City University of Hong Kong in 2008. She has worked at the Institute of Software, Chinese Academy of Sciences, Canon, and Baidu, primarily engaged in research on natural language processing, computational linguistics, and corpus linguistics.
