WANG Wei is an associate research professor at the Institute of Linguistics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. He received his PhD in Linguistics from the Department of Linguistics, Graduate School of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (2006), MA in Linguistics also from the above school (1998), and BA in English from the Department of Foreign Language, Zhejiang Normal University (1995). His research interests include Chinese grammar and studies of loanwords. His major publication is On Le.
