Dr. Fan Zhang is an Assistant Research Fellow at the Institute of Linguistics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
He earned his Bachelor of Arts in Chinese Language and Literature from Fudan University (2010–2014), followed by a Master of Arts in Chinese Language and Literature from Peking University (2014–2017). He later obtained his Ph.D. in Linguistics from the Graduate School of the Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (2017–2020).
From 2021 to 2023, he conducted postdoctoral research at the Faculty of Arts and Humanities, University of Macau. He joined the Institute of Linguistics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences in 2023.
His research focuses on the fields of syntax, formal semantics, and experimental linguistics, with specific interests in flat syntactic structures, information structure, and negation.
