ZHANG Juan currently serves as the Deputy Director of the New Dictionary Editorial Department atthe Research Center for Lexicology and Lexicography, Institute of Linguistics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences. Her academic expertise lies in modern Chinese grammar and vocabulary, lexicography and lexicographical theory. She earned her Ph.D. from the Department of Chinese Language and Literature at Peking University, during which time she participated in a joint doctoral training program at the Department of Linguistics, Leiden University, the Netherlands. She holds a Master's degree in linguistics and applied linguistics from Renmin University of China.
