ZHOU Chenlei

Personal Profile

ZHOU Chenlei graduated from the School of Chinese Language and Literature, Nankai University, in 2016 with a Doctor of Philosophy degree in Linguistics and Applied Linguistics. From 2016 to 2018, he conducted post-doctoral research at the School of Chinese Minority Languages and Literatures, Minzu University of China. Currently, he serves as an Associate Research Fellow at the Institute of Linguistics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (CASS), and a Master's Supervisor at the University of Chinese Academy of Social Sciences (UCASS). His main research areas include linguistic typology, modern Chinese syntax, and language contact. He has published over 30 academic papers in journals such as Linguistic Typology, Lingua, Foreign Language Teaching and Research, Contemporary Linguistics, and Dialect, and authored one English monograph.

Research Projects

He presided over and completed the “Ethnic Language Survey · Investigation of the Pulahua Dialect (Southeastern Yi Dialect) in Wenshan, Yunnan” under the Language Conservation Project of the Ministry of Education (Project No.: YB1734A023), with a funding of 100,000 yuan.

He participated in the Key Project of the National Social Science Fund, "Corpus of Grammatical Features of Chinese Dialects" (Project No.: 19AYY004). As a core member, he was involved in the establishment of the "Corpus of Grammatical Features of Chinese Dialects" at the Institute of Linguistics, Chinese Academy of Social Sciences.
